From the moment you step through the doors, you are greeted with the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and homemade desserts. The walls are adorned with vintage photographs and memorabilia, each telling a story of the town’s rich history.

The menu boasts a variety of Southern classics, from fluffy buttermilk pancakes and crispy bacon for breakfast to hearty homestyle blue plate lunch specials.

What I ordered:
🔥Breakfast Tacos
🔥Waffles with Duck Butter syrup
🍰Banana Cake

The Breakfast Tacos are two flour tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, my choice of sausage, and cheddar cheese. This simple combination fills most of my breakfast requirements. Each bite was tender, moist, and the flavors melded perfectly.

The Waffle is a homemade specialty at the Starkville Cafe. It starts with light and fluffy waffles served with Duck Butter Syrup. The Duck Butter syrup named after the owner nicknamed “Baby Duck”, is a must try! Made
in house, it is served warm and goes with everything, including my tacos!

During my visit the dessert of the day was banana cake. It had a nice sweet layer of frosting with a dense cake. It was probably the best banana cake I’d had in a while. It was definitely worth savoring along with some black coffee.

Whether you’re a regular looking for your usual order or a first-time visitor eager to try something new, the Starkville Cafe offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back time and time again. It’s more than just a place to eat—it’s a gathering spot where friends and neighbors come together to share good food and good company.

Everyone’s taste is different. My goal is to give you a glimpse of what I see and experience so you can judge for yourselves if the atmosphere and menu are right for you. So when you visit, be sure to tell the crew I recommended you. Happy Trails!!
